Getting Started

Get up and running with NotebookLM Quick in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

Installation

Step 1: Install from Chrome Web Store

Visit the Chrome Web Store (opens in a new tab) and click "Add to Chrome"

The extension will be installed in seconds.

Step 2: Pin the Extension

Click the puzzle icon in your Chrome toolbar and pin NotebookLM Quick for easy access.

Tip: Pinning the extension keeps it visible in your toolbar for quick access whenever you need it.

Step 3: Sign In (Optional)

Click the extension icon and sign in with your Google account to unlock Pro features.

  • Free tier: No sign-in required for basic features
  • Pro tier: Sign in to access advanced features like YouTube playlists

Step 4: Select Your Notebook

Choose which NotebookLM notebook you want to save content to. You can change this anytime.

First Steps

Now that you're set up, try these features:

Save a Web Link

  1. Navigate to any web page
  2. Click the NotebookLM Quick icon
  3. Click "Add Link"
  4. The link will be saved to your selected notebook

Generate a PDF

  1. Navigate to any web page
  2. Click the NotebookLM Quick icon
  3. Click "Generate PDF"
  4. The page will be converted to a clean, formatted PDF and uploaded to NotebookLM

Add a YouTube Video

  1. Navigate to a YouTube video
  2. Click the NotebookLM Quick icon
  3. Click "Add YouTube Video"
  4. The video will be added to your notebook
